Midterm Exam - Oral Section
1. Working
in pairs, you will write and present a two page dialogue about one of these
situations:
a. You and your partner are talking about your plans to celebrate a
special holiday or your birthday. You are talking about how people usually
celebrate a holiday in a different country or culture (food, things people do,
etc.)
b. You and your partner are talking about the places where you live and
what you can find there (banks, schools, stores, etc.)-mention locations. Also,
you are discussing the advantages and disadvantages of living where you live
and in a bigger or smaller place.
c. You and your partner are talking about the past. You are discussing
how your life was before in your childhood and different memories about your
previous life (school, vacations, hobbies you had, your friends, and family).
d. You and your partner are talking about your experiences abroad (you
can invent if you haven’t had the opportunity to travel). Talk about the places
visited, the customs you experienced, the food, how you felt there, and the
activities you did.
e. Use your notes but do not abuse reading, otherwise you will get a
low grade.
2. Your writing must include the material we have covered
in class.
3. Your writing must have the following format:
3.1. It has to be typed in Times New Roman #12, double
spaced.
3.2. On the upper left corner write the heading:
